Professor Kenneth Leung, JP, Awarded Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) for Distinguished Public Service

We are proud to share that our former Dean, Professor Kenneth Leung, JP, has been awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by the Hong Kong SAR Government in recognition of his outstanding service to the community over many years, particularly in the areas of environmental protection, food safety, and environmental hygiene.

The announcement was made on 1 July 2025 as part of the HKSAR Government’s annual Honours List. The award ceremony will be held at Government House in October 2025.

Professor Leung’s unwavering dedication to advancing environmental science and public health has made a significant impact on both academia and public policy. His tenure as Dean of the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) was marked by visionary leadership, a strong commitment to sustainability, and the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Professor Leung on this well-deserved recognition and thank him for his continued contributions to our school and society.
