Happy Retirement, Professor Johnny Chan!

An internal retirement farewell party was held for Professor Johnny Chan, Chair Professor of Atmospheric Science and the founding Dean of the School of Energy and Environment, on 30 June 2021. Around 50 guests, including SEE faculty members, alumni, students, and administrative staff, joined the party via the online platform or in person.

The School sincerely thanks Professor Chan for his significant contributions to lay a solid foundation for the School's stable growth during his deanship. His 31 years of professional dedication, academic achievements, and support to the sustainable development of the School and the University are highly appreciated. Wishing Professor Chan a happy retirement and all the best in his new chapter of life!

Warmest congratulations to Professor Chan on the conferment upon him the title of Emeritus Professor for his distinguished contribution to the Univesity!  We are grateful that Professor Chan's association with SEE and CityU will continue in his new role after retirement.
