Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission (SALSA) Scheme

The Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission (SALSA) Scheme is initiated by the University Grants Committee (UGC) to offer university education opportunities to elite athletes of Hong Kong in quest of their dual career development in sports and in academics. There is no minimum academic or age entrance requirement for elite athletes under the SALSA Scheme.


Student Athletes Admission Scheme (SAAS)

The admission of sports talents under the University's Student Athletes Admission Scheme (SAAS) is co-ordinated by the Student Development Services (SDS). This scheme aims to recognize student athletes with outstanding sports achievements for pursuing higher education at CityU.


Deadline for Application of 2nd Batch of Nomination (2024 Entry):
22 July 2024 23:59 PM

IMPORTANT:
You are required to upload the following supporting documents (scanned copies in pdf format) to the online application form:
1. Reference Letters (i.e. HK Sports Institute/National Sports Association/Sports Club/School)
2. C.V.
3. School Report Card / Academic Transcript
4. JUPAS choice / non-JUPAS application record
5. HKDSE Examination Results (on or after 17 Jul 2024)
6. Others

Outstanding Athletes Entrance Scholarship (OAES) for Non-Local Students

The aim of the Student Athletes Admission Scheme is to provide opportunities for outstanding student athletes to study at CityU. We are proud to extend the Scheme to attract high performing international athletes to CityU and further enhance the performance of our sports teams. This scholarship is co-ordinated by the Student Development Services (SDS) and the Global Engagement Office (GEO).
