Course Aims

The dissemination and evaluation of scientific results is instrumental for successful researchers. This seminar series addresses gaps within the current curriculum by providing PhD students/candidates a low-pressure venue for practicing these skills. Each week, one student will provide a research update to their peers in a scientific presentation format. In addition to the typical oral feedback and questions, attending students formally enrolled in the course will provide written feedback and evaluation of their peers’ presentations on the basis of scientific soundness, presentation skills, and ability to answer questions.
