Course Aims

This course aims to review the law, policy and practice in relation to companies and other business organisations, with a focus on the principles of law governing the formation and operation of companies, the constitutional framework of corporate bodies and relationships among its internal stakeholders/structures and with external agencies, as well as theories and principles of corporate governance.

Examination: 50%
Examination Duration: 2 hours
Min. Continuous Assessment Passing Requirement: 40%
Min. Examination Passing Requirement: 40%
 

Applicable to students admitted before Semester A 2022/23 and in Semester A 2024/25 & thereafter


To pass this course students must obtain a minimum mark of 40% in both continuous assessment and the examination element and an overall mark of 40% of the assessment.

 


Applicable to students admitted from Semester A 2022/23 to Summer Term 2024


To pass this course students must obtain a minimum mark of 50% in both continuous assessment and the examination element and an overall mark of 50% of the assessment.
