University Life Induction Day 2025
To all new students beginning your first year of studies in August 2025, whether you're from Hong Kong or joining us from around the world, we are truly excited to welcome you to the CityUHK community! You are cordially invited to attend the University Life Induction Day, one of the signature events of CityUHK Student Orientation 2025 that you absolutely shouldn’t miss.
This special event is designed to help you get acquainted with the University, discover the wide range of resources available to support your personal growth, and begin planning an exciting and fulfilling university journey. We can’t wait to meet you and help you make the most of your first steps at CityUHK!

Highlights:
- We’re excited to welcome both local and non-local new students for Academic Year 2025-26! The Induction Workshop is your launchpad to university life! Designed to introduce you to the ample resources and support systems provided by the University to help you succeed. Offering practical tips on scholarships, financial aid, career planning, student development programmes, and more. This session will help you get connected, and ready to thrive.
Enrollment:
- Please enroll between 13 and 15 August 2025, after collecting your student identity card at B5-307 (5/F, YEUNG Building).
- For Non-local Undergraduate Students: Please enrol between 25 – 29 August 2025, the Greeting Lounge (Venue: 25 – 27 Aug at Blue Zone, 4/F, YEUNG; 28 – 29 Aug at Y4502, U-Concourse, 4/F, YEUNG)

Lucky Draw:
- New students who attend BOTH the University Life Induction Day on 30 August 2025 and the University Welcoming Ceremony on 1 September 2025 will have the opportunity to participate in a lucky draw, with a chance to win prizes such as an iPhone, Smart Watch, or other electronic devices.
Adverse Weather Arrangement:
- In case of Typhoon Signal Pre-No. 8 or above or Rainstorm Black Warning issued at 7:00 am on the event day, the University Life Induction Day will be cancelled.
