Dr Yeung Kin-man, SBS, JP
Bio

Dr Yeung Kin-man is a successful entrepreneur and innovation advocator. He founded Biel Crystal (Hong Kong) Manufactory Limited (Biel Crystal), which produces over half the glass panels for mobile phones globally. In addition to committing himself to his business, Dr Yeung has actively participated in various charity and community causes which was recognised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in awarding him with the Silver Bauhinia Star and Justice of Peace.

Currently, Dr Yeung is President of Biel Crystal. As a result of the global success of Biel Crystal, he received the 2016 Industrialist of the Year Award from the Federation of Hong Kong Industries; the ­fifth Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award from The Mirror Post Cultural Enterprises Company Limited; the Outstanding Achievement Award 2016 from the Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong Industries, and the 2015 Leader of the Year – Commerce and Industry/Finance Award from Sing Tao News Corporation Limited.

For years, Dr Yeung has provided zealous support for various aspects of City University of Hong Kong (CityU). He is Co-Chairperson of the Board of Governors and Honorary Patron of the CityU Foundation, an Honorary Doctorate of the University, and Co-Chair of the Steering Committee of the “United, We Soar” campaign. He was one of the major supporters of CityU’s development in Veterinary Medicine. An academic building on the CityU campus was named after Dr Yeung in recognition of his significant contributions.
