Biography

Prof. Jing Li received her Ph.D degree in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from City University of Hong Kong in 2018, after which she worked as a postdoc researcher in Department of Materials Science and Engineering at University of Pennsylvania. In 2021-2023, she was an Associate Professor in China-UK Low Carbon College at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Prof. Li’s research focuses on the design and synthesis of multiscale and multifunctional materials for efficient water management and energy conversion in complex environments. In particular, by harnessing the synergetic effect of external aerodynamics, interfacial interactions and internal material properties, she explores the fundamental mechanisms underlying the water-energy-environment nexus, and blazes the transformation from delicate structures to large-scale solutions for water harvesting, evaporative cooling, deicing, underwater adhesion, etc.
