The aim of this course is to help students understand innovators and entrepreneurs. The overall goal is to nurture students’ innovative mindsets, entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative and communication skills within a multi-disciplinary environment. Students w­ill learn the basics behind generating new ideas and identifying business opportunities from problems encountered on a daily basis. Students from the engineering, science, social science and management fields will work together in their own mock companies, playing the roles of CEOs and managers in various functions such as marketing, finance and research and development. Each group will develop an innovation and entrepreneurship plan and conduct a mock presentation for attracting investment. Assessment is conducted through coursework.
