We are thrilled to announce the official and highly successful conclusion of the CityUHK CHEM Alumni Gathering 2026, which took place on Friday, 12 June 2026

Chemistry alumni, faculty, and esteemed guests gathered at the beautiful The Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen to reconnect, share laughs, and celebrate our enduring bonds
The evening kicked off at 5:45 pm with a bustling registration and a lively cocktail reception, setting the stage for a night full of energy and reconnection.

 

Evening Highlights

  • Inspiring Leadership: Our Head of Department, Prof. ZHU Guangyu (朱光宇教授), formally opened the evening with an inspiring speech highlighting the department's growth and the vital role our alumni play in its ongoing success.
  • Distinguished Insights: We were deeply honored to hear from our VIP Guest, Prof. ZHOU Hongwei (周宏伟院长), whose words added immense value and prestige to our gathering.
  • Laughter & Friendly Competition: The energy in the ballroom soared during the interactive game session and the highly anticipated Prize Presentation, showcasing that our alumni haven't lost their competitive spark.
  • A Feast of Connections: As dinner commenced at 7:40 pm, the room was filled with cross-generational conversations, networking, and the raising of glasses to shared memories and future collaborations.
