خطاطی –Urdu Calligraphy Workshop

This workshop will introduce the beautiful art of Urdu calligraphy (or Khatati), a tradition that dates back centuries and is deeply embedded in the cultural fabric of Pakistan. 

You will receive step-by-step guidance on the methods and tools used in Urdu calligraphy. From mastering the basic strokes to creating intricate letterforms, you will gradually develop the skills needed to write your name and other words in beautiful scripts of Urdu calligraphy.

Note:
•    No previous knowledge of Urdu/ Urdu calligraphy required.
•    Light refreshments will be served.

(The words in the picture are a famous stanza of poetry from Allama Iqbal (the national poet of Pakistan). The word that is large in the middle is "Shaheen" which is a bird. Iqbal referred to the youth of Pakistan as Shaheen.)
