Professor Kenneth Leung, Associate Dean (Outreach and Internationalisation) of the College of Science (CSCI), is nominated and elected as an Adjunct Fellow of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (AdFHKIE). Congratulations!

“Historically, this is the first time that The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers has established AdFHKIE for non-engineers. I am honoured to be part of the inaugural batch of Adjunct Fellows,” said Professor Leung.

The membership of Adjunct Fellow of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers aims to recognise eminent non-engineers from a field closely related to engineering. The awardees should have occupied positions of significant responsibility for a sufficient period in or related to engineering, science or technology, and provided special services to The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or engineering. Each year, a maximum of 10 awardees will be granted.

Professor Leung is Chair Professor of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry and the Director of CityUHK’s State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Health. His research interests encompass marine pollution, ecotoxicology, environmental risk assessment, environmental quality benchmarks, marine ecology, biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration using eco-engineering.
