Intangible cultural heritage emphasizes traditions passed on from generation to generation, forming connections between the past and the present and providing communities with cultural identity and cohesion. The Cultural Exchange Oasis at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has conducted the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Artist-in-residence Programme” since 2021, demonstrating the University’s commitment to intangible cultural heritage preservation.
With the generous support of Fude Handicraft Ltd. in Shunde, Foshan, CityU will be co-hosting a series of activities this year under the theme of “Guang Embroidery - A 1,000-year-old National Treasure Flourishes on Fingertips”.
