Course Aims

This course will prepare the veterinary students for their transition into the profession. It will prepare the students for their professional life and discuss issues such as veterinary legislation, the practicalities of registration as a veterinarian in the various jurisdictions, preparation for the application into the job market, veterinary professional ethics and behaviour, Code of conduct, rights and obligations arising from legal recognition of the veterinary profession, veterinary certification, professional liability and malpractice, Continued Professional Development and future career options (such as clinical practice, research careers, academia, residencies, animal and pharmaceutical industries, and the attainment of specialist qualifications) and preparation for such careers.
