Course Aims | ||||||||||||
This course aims to introduce the fundamental concepts and characteristics of soft materials, with a focus on polymer science and its engineering applications. Both synthetic and natural polymers are presented as the primary example of soft matter. The course also includes a broader range of soft materials, such as gels, liquid crystals, and other deformable systems. By exploring the physical and chemical properties of soft materials and their behavior under various conditions, students will learn to identify the relevant principles and apply them to solve practical engineering problems. | ||||||||||||
