Course Aims

This course will provide students with basic understanding of measurement theories, knowledge of signal processing techniques and data analysis. Several essential opto-electrical measurement techniques relevant to material characterizations will be introduced. The course will also introduce fundamental electronic circuit components and systems, knowledge of DC and AC circuit analysis, and working principles of various essential transducers. Students will acquire knowledge to develop skills to design measurement protocols with computer-aided methods.

Examination: 50%
Examination Duration: 2 hours
Min. Examination Passing Requirement: 30%
 

For a student to pass the course, at least 30% of the maximum mark for the examination must be obtained.
