The aim of the course is to introduce to Putonghua speakers, studying or working at CityU, Cantonese oral communication skills. The medium of instruction is Putonghua and through a contrastive treatment of the subject matter the course will enable them to familiarize themselves with the language structure they have to deal with every day and help them sharpen their interest and sensitivity to language use encountered in Hong Kong's socio-professional context.
