Course Aims

  1. to introduce the basic components of international macroeconomics;
  2. to develop the necessary analytical concepts to develop and analyze a model for open macroeconomic issues such as exchange rate and stabilization policy effectiveness in an open economy context; and
  3. to provide the necessary preparation for students to further their studies in Open Economy Macroeconomics and International Finance.
