A solid preparation and design is a key to a success of a PPP project. In a similar vein, contract management is vital to the smooth execution of a PPP project by optimizing financial performance and minimizing risk. Different from the traditional commercial dealings between two private entities at arm's length, PPP necessitates a more well-coordinated and collaborative approach among all the contract parties and stakeholders. More to the point, in a PPP project, oftentimes, the re-negotiation and redesigning the contractual relations between parties are expected given its nature.  

This course will focus on 1) how best to prepare for a PPP project; 2) how to manage the PPP procurement process; 3) how to allocate the potential risks in drafting the PPP contract; and 4) other related legal issues that need to be taken into account in executing these long term contracts.
