Programme Aims

MSc Artificial Intelligence in Business (AIB) aims to train future business talents who understand AI and cherish AI. We expect the graduates to face the challenge in the business world, and be proactive to 1) apply AI and improve business efficiency; 2) manage AI and lead business success; and 3) innovate AI for the best of society and business. We expect they can connect cutting-edge technology with the core domains of business in Hong Kong and work toward the renaissance of Hong Kong.

MSc AIB is offered to applicants with intermediate IT/IS or business knowledge (such as completion of fundamental related courses at the undergraduate level or with certain working experience) and aims to complement each student’s skills to a complete set to develop an AI-business mindset. By doing so, graduates can not only excel in careers in technical or managerial positions in the current business world but also bring change and energize the future business landscape.

MSc AIB aims to train students who can not only lead business success but also have a vision of the coevolution of humanity and technology and support social welfare and fairness in AI-empowered businesses.

Upon successful completion of this Programme, students should be able to:

1. Demonstrate good understanding of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology.
2. Apply AI technology to address the key issues in major business domains.
3. Demonstrate critical thinking and strong communication skills in managing the use of AI in business.
4. Discover opportunities and competitive advantages for organizations and AI to improve and influence each other.
5. Demonstrate an awareness of emerging issues such as risk, fairness, and social welfare in contemporary AI-supported businesses.
