Programme Aims

This programme aims to foster graduates to have an understanding of advanced developments in the area of “Environmental Science, Energy and Built Environment”, appropriate research ethics and the basic research skills.


Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)

Upon successful completion of this Programme, students should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to identify problems, and apply original, independent and critical thinking to develop theoretical concepts based on the knowledge of recent advances in the area of “Environmental Science, Energy and Built Environment”.
  2. Identify and access appropriate data sources, archives, and other relevant information.
  3. Present findings clearly in an appropriate style and justify one’s own research with coherent arguments and articulation of ideas.

Qualifying/Annual Report Submission:

Students are required to submit qualifying report and annual report in compliance to the regulations or guidelines as set by the School of Graduate Studies (SGS). Such regulations and guidelines are accessible via the guidebook located at SGS website.


Thesis:

A document that presents the author's research and findings in a clear manner, submitted in support of candidature for the research degree with well articulated findings and ideas.
