Course Aims

This course aims to provide students with state-of-the-art design methods of urban design concepts by focusing on regional, territorial, and international issues in urban design and planning. The enquiries by design focus on developing new design strategies to solve a variety of urban problems in various cities. Students will be asked to use computational tools for analyzing contexts and visualizing strategies as well as creating innovative urban forms. The charrette will take place in the form of intensive design sessions and possibly multi-day meetings with selected potential stakeholders. The meeting schedule can vary every year based on the selected topic and stakeholder's availability.
