Course Aims

Visual Effects is a cross-disciplinary creative practice that often requires wide-ranging knowledge from the arts, cinematography, computer graphics and programming, etc. This course aims to provide basic understandings of both the art and science of contemporary digital visual effects. Through a series of hands-on creative exercises, students will produce creative works that explore specific key concepts such as pixel arithmetic, chroma-keying, 2D/3D tracking, colour correction, integration of computer generated images with live action footages. At the end of the course, students will have acquired the experience and knowledge to produce cost efficient and high quality visual effects work.
