From his early days diving, swimming, and fishing in Hong Kong’s coastal waters, Professor Leung developed a deep connection with the ocean. This passion led him to pursue a PhD in Marine Environmental Toxicology at the University of Glasgow, supported by a Swire Scholarship.
Over the years, Professor Leung has become a leading figure in marine science, focusing on marine pollution, biodiversity, fishery resources, and ecological restoration in Hong Kong’s waters. His work aims to protect and preserve the city’s marine ecosystems so that future generations can continue to enjoy their natural beauty.
