CityU Theses Online (CityUTO) provides online access to the abstracts and tables of contents of CityU research postgraduate theses and taught postgraduate dissertations available in the Library, dating back to 1990. The full text of all research postgraduate theses and professional doctorate degree theses and selected taught postgraduate dissertations is also available online to CityU staff and students.
Open access titles are available from CityU Scholars.

Theses and dissertations covered can be browsed by title, degree and department.

Searching CityUTO

CityUTO can be accessed via the CityU LibraryFind where theses and dissertations titles can be retrieved by standard search criteria such as author, title, subject and keyword.

Tips for searching CityUTO and locating CityU dissertations/theses

Important Notes on Accessing CityUTO:
  • The full text of most of the theses and dissertations is currently available to CityU staff and students only. Selected research postgraduate theses are for open access.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 or higher, Google Chrome v.50 or higher, or Mozilla Firefox 50 as well as Adobe Acrobat Reader are required to view the theses and dissertations.

  • To view the full text, you have to authenticate yourselves by entering your electronic ID and AD/LAN Password.
