Appendix II:
Penalties for Misuse of Student Identity Cards

1. Lending or borrowing of student identity card between fellow students for gaining access to the Library and/or borrowing library materials is an offence. The penalties are:
   1. First offence -- verbal warning
   2. Second offence -- 2 weeks' suspension from the use of the Library
   3. Third offence -- 4 weeks' suspension
   4. Fourth offence -- 4 weeks' suspension plus referral to Student Discipline Panel

2. Lending or borrowing of a student identity card to enable an outsider to gain access to the Library and/or borrow library materials is a serious offence. The penalties are:
   1. First offence -- 4 weeks' suspension
   2. Second offence -- 4 weeks' suspension plus referral to Student Discipline Panel
