The Oval Electronic Resources Workstations Media Resources Workstations Photocopiers, Scanners and Microform Equipment Facilities for Users with Disabilities Library PC Interactive Floor Plan Booking of Library Rooms, Carrels & PC Workstations The following facilities are available to Library users: Rooms and CarrelsGroup Study Rooms and CarrelsLaw Discussion RoomLocated in the Law Section, the Law Discussion Room is primarily for moot exercises. It is also open to law students who want to have group discussion. Booking is made at the Law Section Counter, on a first-come, first-served basis. Advanced booking of up to 3 days is acceptable. Electronic Resources WorkstationsA number of electronic resources workstations are provided near the Law Section of the Library for all library users to use various electronic resources. Media Resources WorkstationsA number of media resources workstations are provided outside the Media Resources Collection Room of the Library for all library users to use various media resources. Carrels with various equipment are provided in the area for users to use library resources only but not personal media. Available equipment includes:
N.B. Photocopiers, Scanners and Microform EquipmentPhotocopiers operated by Octopus Cards or coins are provided for Library users. Two Octopus-Card-operatd network printers located at the outside rim of the Oval provide Black and White and Colour fast printing services for users at the Oval. Four colour scanners with OCR capability are connected to four of the PCs in the Information Space. These machines can be used to capture colour images and text documents and are available to current CityU staff and students. A microform reader/scanner located outside the Media Resources Collection Room is available for viewing, printing and scanning. Users are reminded to make sure that their photocopying and scanning does not infringe the Copyright Ordinance.
