10.04.2018 City University of Hong Kong has received a HK$3 million donation from Tin Ka Ping Foundation to fund three programmes to promote Chinese culture. 23.11.2017Members of the City University of Hong Kong Foundation (CityU Foundation) and friends of the University were thanked at the CityU Foundation Annual Dinner on 23 November for their contributions over the years and for raising funds to support University and student developments. The dinner, held under the theme “Dream, Navigate, Accomplish (DNA)”, attracted more than 500 guests who helped raise over HK$12 million, a record for CityU Foundation. The funds will be used mainly to help students participate in activities such as overseas exchange, internship and competitions.[Photo Album]
22.9.2017 Dr Siu Kar-cheung, Chairman of Kaiping Cuishanhu Chamber of Commerce, and Ms Feng Xiao-yan, Chairlady of Kaiping Female Entrepreneur Association, led the delegations of 52 members to visit CityU on 22 September 2017. The delegation received an update on the university development and visited the Run Run Shaw Library, Gateway Education Laboratory, CLP Power Low Carbon Energy Education Centre and “Sincerely Yours: Personal Letters of Tsinghua Scholars” Exhibition. 19.8.2017A delegation of 78 members from the Lions Clubs International District 303 Hong Kong & Macau, China (Lions Clubs), led by its District Governor Mr Douglas L.T. Chan, visited CityU on 19 August 2017. Professor Matthew Lee, Vice-President (Development and External Relations), extended his warm welcome to Lions delegates. The delegation was briefed on the University latest development and student programmes including City-Youth Empowerment Project and internship schemes. Professor Lee was delighted that CityU shares the same vision and enthusiasm with Lions Clubs in nurturing outstanding talents for the benefit of the community and looked forward to collaborating closely with Lions Clubs in the future.
