Xin LI
Xin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong, where she also serves as the associate director of the Master of Urban Design and Regional Planning program. Before joining CityU, Xin taught at Columbia University and MIT in the U.S. and the IUAV University of Venice in Italy. Her research interests are economic restructuring in rapidly deindustrializing regions, social and environmental problems accompanying fast urbanization, and land conflicts arising from rampant urban expansion. Her recent research focuses on the role of creative class in low-income communities.
