Visit to Central Asia
A high-level delegation from City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), led by Council Chairman Professor the Honourable Michael Ngai, is embarking on an official duty visit to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan from 1 to 5 June 2026.
In active alignment with the "Belt and Road" Initiative and the Hong Kong SAR Government’s strategic focus on strengthening ties with Central Asia, this visit aims to deepen academic, research and technological partnerships in the region.
The delegation will engage in strategic meetings with government ministries and sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading institutions. This is part of CityUHK’s efforts to expand its global footprint, foster international talent exchange and drive collaborative innovation across Central Asia.
