Course Aims

This course aims to provide students with a good understanding of the newly emerging social networks landscape and its underlying concepts. It equips students with essential skills to analyse and evaluate the Web 2.0 business models as well as digital strategies by leveraging the power of social media and social networking. It also enable students to implement experience and experiment with a “live” social network applications, for example, Instagram, Flickr, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, etc., and to evaluate via various metrics applied in social media and social networks, such as centrality and network density.
