Course Aims

This course offers on developing overall communicative competence in Korean while focusing on improving speaking skills and enhancing accuracy in pronunciation. Natural pronunciation in Korean and the different intonations in accordance with the meaning of the sentences will be introduced to enhance comprehension of spoken language.

Upon completion, students will be able to comprehend the overall meaning of practical discourses such advertisements, interviews, weather forecasts, and to use the honorific/casual expressions appropriately according to formal and informal situations. Key class activities include role-plays, interview simulations and small group work to provide opportunities to practice in actual communicative situations.
