Magic Surface is a series of interactive digital games designed for Hong Kong's elderly people, especially those with dementia. In these games, players are asked to complete various tasks which help train their cognitive skills in fun and physically engaging ways. The games are available for different platforms and support various input methods, including touchscreens and motion detection cameras.

While there are similar products on the market, we found that they are primarily designed for foreign cultures and are predominantly in English. We wanted to make something that incorporates the local culture of Hong Kong, so that local elderly people can relate to it more easily, making it more engaging and entertaining.

Games include: "HK under the Sand", "Mahjong Matching", "Dim Sum Guardian" and "Memory Dim Sum". Each game has a different level of difficulty to cater to elderly people with dementia with varying levels of cognitive ability. These games are part of the platform we are building that takes advantage of today's technology to open new possibilities in rehabilitation, providing the elderly and people with dementia with new options to exercise their brains.
