Abstract

Culture changes, so does its impact on innovation and discovery. What are the characteristics of current Chinese culture? Is it still Confucianism or Taoism? Compared with Western culture, is current Chinese culture more or less supportive to innovation and discovery?  This talk will discuss these questions from cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives with the help of statistical analysis and daily examples.
