Dr. Yang, Qing-Xiong joined City University of Hong Kong (CityU) in 2011. He obtained his BEng degree in Electronic Engineering & Information Science from University of Science & Technology of China (USTC) in 2004, Master degree in Computer Science from University of Kentucky in 2007 (Advisor: David Nister & Ruigang Yang) and PhD degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2010 (Advisor: Narendra Ahuja). Dr. Yang's research interests reside in computer vision and graphics. His best known works are DoubleBP, SubpixDoubleBP and RealtimeBP. These works, which have gathered 450+ citations combined, are related to 3D from stereo. Dr. Yang won the best student paper award at MMSP 2010 and best demo at CVPR 2007. He holds 2 US patents and has 4 more pending.
