Professor Wang Jiangyu Quoted in Singapore’s English Media on U.S. Sanctions on Hong Kong

Professor Wang Jiangyu commented on American government’s proposal to remove Hong Kong’s preferential trade status under U.S. law and impose economic sanctions on China and Hong Kong if China enacts a national security law for Hong Kong. Wang argued that U.S. sanctions are unlikely to stop the security law as China has realized that, under the Trump administration, even China gives in on Hong Kong, the U.S. will always have excuses to impose sanctions on China.
