State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution
Strategic research theme 1 (Innovative Technology for Pollution Monitoring and Control)

Duties

Assist in project management, data processing, analysis and report writing; and carry out laboratory research works and research tasks related to the removal of emerging organic contaminants from wastewater using various physical-chemical and/or biological approaches.

Requirements

A PhD degree in Environmental Chemistry/Environmental Engineering/ Analytical Chemistry/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Environmental Toxicology or related disciplines with no more than 3 years’ experience after the award of a PhD degree.  The appointee should have a strong track record of publications in top international journals.  Good command of written and spoken English, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, being self-motivated and hardworking, a good team player, and ability to work independently in a mature manner are required.  Those with experience in developing novel materials or nanotechnology enabled technologies or processes for removing emerging organic contaminants from waters, and analytical skills for major emerging organic contaminants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
