
DataSciWork - Career Life & Planning workshops for F.5 students to explore Data Science
To promote data science study as a university major, SDSC has partnered with FDMT to launch a series of activities for F.5 and F.6 students.
DataSciWork, a 1-day CLP workshop aimed at helping school-nominated F.5 students make an informed choice in university data science study by introducing many related career options.
All secondary schools in Hong Kong are welcomed to nominate students for DataSciWork.
Special updates and talks incorporating the DSE study schedule are prepared for the interested F.6 students on the subject.

This talk introduces undergraduate programs in the first School of Data Science in HongĀ Kong, Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Bachelor of Engineering in Data Analytics and Systems, covering curriculum structures, knowledge and disciplines offered, as well as career prospects. We shall describe what is data science and how careers on data science advance nowadays data-driven business and artificial intelligence of various industries. The primal goal of the programs and the learning objectives will be explained. Successful stories on applications of the data science from world-class companies to emerging startup companies will be shared to illustrate the promising and prosperous future of the career in data science.
