Dr Wong Chun-hong, Founder, Executive Director, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Top Spring International Holdings Limited, and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rainbow Department Store Company Limited, has profound accomplishments in the real estate, finance and retail fields. During his over three decades of experience in these sectors, he has actively participated in public and community services. Mr Wong was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2016 for meritorious public and community service.
As a staunch supporter of City University of Hong Kong (CityU), Dr Wong is a Member of the Court and an Honorary Fellow of the University. He is a member of the Board of Governors and the Honorary Patron of the CityU Foundation, as well as Co-Chair of the Steering Committee of the “United, We Soar” campaign. In 2013, CityU named its main lecture theatre on campus after his late parents the Wong Cheung Lo Hui Yuet Hall in recognition of his generous support to CityU.
Dr Wong has contributed tremendously to local and mainland charities. He has made several donations to a variety of causes related mostly to education, including sponsoring students with financial difficulties, nurturing village teachers, and funding libraries in mainland China. He was awarded the CEIBS Alumni Award by China Europe International Business School in 2011 and Honorary Citizen of Guangzhou in 2018 by the Guangzhou Municipal Government.
