MSE ranked in the Top 60 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 for Materials Sciences

We are pleased to share that CityUHK has achieved a global ranking of #52 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 for Materials Sciences, a significant improvement from our previous position at #62 in 2024. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our faculty members and research staff.

The subject rankings are evaluated based on five indicators: three data-based (Citations, H-index, and IRN) and two survey-based (Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation). Based on the weighted score of the three data-based indicators, our rankings in Hong Kong and in the world are shown in the table below:

We are proud to highlight that our citation per paper indicator is ranked #5 worldwide, demonstrating the impact and recognition of our peer-reviewed research.
