We would like to invite you to cover the following event:

Event:     Press conference on CityU developing graphene face masks that battle bacteria
Date:       8 September 2020 (Tuesday)
Time:       2:00pm
Venue:     B6605, 6/F, Blue Zone (Lift 3), Yeung Kin Man Academic Building, City University of Hong Kong (CityU)

Under the impact of Covid-19, masks have become a necessity to fight the epidemic.
However, commonly used surgical masks are not antibacterial and so harmful elements can remain active for hours, which poses a risk of secondary infection.

A new method for making anti-bacterial graphene masks quickly and cost effectively has been discovered by Dr Ye Ruquan and his team at CityU. Studies have found that the masks can combat both bacteria and viruses, including coronavirus.

Dr Ye will introduce his research findings and demonstrate the graphene face mask prototype at the briefing.
