Professor Freddy Boey Yin Chiang, President of CityU, together with members of the University community, have congratulated alumna Grace Lau Mo-sheung on winning a Gold medal in the Women’s Kata event in the AKF Senior Championships 2023 held in Malaysia on 21 July. About 300 alumni from CityU attended the event “Hi President – A Dialogue with the President” on 18 June, in which they learned about the latest developments of CityU from the sharing by President Way Kuo of CityU and other CityU representatives and strengthened their links with their alma mater.

Staff and students at CityU will partner up for the third time with students from Mary Rose School for the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon in 2022 to promote greater social integration through sports.
CityU marathon team led by President Kuo embodies spirit of excellence in academics and sports
Once again President Way Kuo of CityU has led a team of around 240 athletes in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon, which was held on 24 October. President Kuo has run the Hong Kong marathon with a CityU delegation for 12 consecutive years, except in 2020 because of Covid-19, exemplifying CityU’s spirit of excellence in both academics and sports.
