A season's worth of training and hard work has paid off for City's oarsmen and oarswomen at the 8th Hong Kong Universities Rowing Championships 2002.
Accessing information the customized way will be a feature of the new Campus Pipeline—CityU e-Portal. When staff, students and alumni log on to the pipeline, we'll get a personal greeting, and all the information we need will have been categorized for easy navigation—a real time saver. This personalized interface will soon take over from the University intranet as the web front page.

This month, he makes use of his regular meeting with Linkage to put forward his personal views on where City University should be heading in the greater context of Hong Kong 's future role vis-?-vis China 's rapid development.

Celebrated actor Mr Chow Yun Fat, recipient of the Honorary Doctor of Letters conferred by CityU in 2001, shared his life experiences with about 300 staff and students at the Wei Hing Theatre this summer.
Following the success of the Industrial Attachment Scheme (IAS), the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) has set up a Cooperative Education Centre to collaborate with its industrial partners. The Centre, headed by Professor C H Chan and three other associate directors, will introduce a Cooperative Programme this year that will give students a one-year placement in a partner company.
