CityU HK Tech 300 Angel Fund receives another $20 million in support from four venture capital firms
CityU and four innovation and technology investment companies signed MoUs on 6 October for the establishment of co-investment partnerships that will provide a total of HK$20 million in angel fund investment each year to selected start-ups supported by HK Tech 300.

CityU congratulates Professor Alain Aspect on winning the Nobel Prize in Physics 2022. Professor Aspect is a Senior Fellow at the HKIAS at CityU. In 2018, he was conferred an Honorary Doctor of Science by CityU in recognition of his significant contributions to education and society.

An inter-institutional collaborative team involving a scholar from CityU promoting a student-centred project, “English Across the Curriculum”, has been awarded the 2022 UGC Teaching Award.

CityU shines once again in the top 100 universities granted US utility patents by the National Academy of Inventors. CityU is placed 29th in the world, the highest-ever position and 22 places better than last year. Furthermore, CityU is ranked 1st among local institutions for the 6th consecutive year.

The full-time employment rate for graduates from CityU hit 96.6% in 2021, the highest among the eight publicly funded universities, according to the latest graduate employment data released by the UGC.
