CityU JUPAS Consultation Week to be held from 25 to 30 May
To avoid crowds, CityU will be holding consultations online this year. Students who are interested in enrolling in CityU can learn about CityU’s JUPAS programmes and learning environment while staying at home.
Morale boosting poster campaign cheers up campus
To thank all CityU members for their commitment, the “Anti-epidemic ‘Cheer Up Station!’” poster campaign has been launched.
More than 40 new faculty members participated in a full day Faculty Orientation Programme, organised by the Education Development Office on 18 August to prepare new academic staff for their new challenge at CityU.
CityU launched the Collaborative Blended Learning Curriculum Design and Development Programme, offering school teachers free training workshops on web-based tools and systems and helping schools meet challenges of IT in education.
Four CityU professors have been elected as Cheung Kong Chair Professors to collaborate with four leading mainland universities, including Tsinghua University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, to nurture professionals and conduct research.
Professor Way Kuo visited the Orientation Camp organised by the Students’ Union and took part in dances and a tug-of-war battle with new students.
The devastating Typhoon Morakot struck Taiwan last week and caused tremendous destruction to the island. CityU appeals to its community to make donations to support the affected people for emergency relief and rehabilitation.
An exciting new-look CityU homepage was launched on 12 August, improving internal and external communications channels and projecting a more vibrant and contemporary image of the University.
Around 60 alumni took part in the “Dialogue with the President” gathering organised by the Alumni Relations Office on 11 August to discuss with the President CityU’s future development.
