A research team comprising experts from CityU , Harvard University and Nokia Bell Labs has successfully fabricated a tiny on-chip lithium niobate modulator, an electro-optic modulator which is more efficient, with faster data transmission and lower costs. CityU researchers are looking into its application for the coming 5G communication.
The final of the 4th Hong Kong Underwater Robot Challenge 2009 organised by CityU took place on 12 April, with finalists from 19 secondary schools competing in this unique event.
