CityU Career Fair 2015 provides opportunities for face-to-face meeting between students and potential employers

Students at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) had an excellent opportunity to explore future career options and pathway at the University’s career fair from 4 to 5 March.
The CityU Career Fair 2015, organised by the Career and Leadership Centre, served as a platform for students to gain market information and job opportunities from industry professionals and company representatives. The Fair was well-received by more than 2,300 students who had the chance to meet with more than 50 employers from a wide spectrum of public and business services organisations.  Many participants were excited to have established first face-to-face contacts with their potential employers.
Information booths were set up for employers including the Correctional Services Department, Hong Kong Disneyland, Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Ltd, HSBC, Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Ltd, the Immigration Department, Jardine Airport Services Ltd and PCCW Ltd. Many students dressed in business attire and brought with them their curricula vitae to apply for jobs on-site.
A number of recruitment and career talks provided by Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, China Mobile Hong Kong Co Ltd and Hang Seng Bank Ltd offered industry highlights and market information to the students. Other activities, such as “On-site CV Collection” and “CV Photo Taking Service” sponsored by Recruit, helped students increase their resume visibility.
