The Integration of Technology, Content and Global Collaboration in this Social-Media Digital Age: Challenges to Libraries


The Library was honored to have invited Prof. Ching-chih Chen, a world-renowned information scientist in cultural heritage, to deliver a talk titled “The Integration of Technology, Content and Global Collaboration in this Social-Media Digital Age: Challenges to Libraries” on 22 June 2015.

In more than two decades, having worked mostly in the digital humanities area using various available technologies, Prof. Chen shared her digital projects, including her award-winning application, World Heritage Memory Net (http://whmnet.org/). Her research topics utilized an integrated multimedia and multilingual system to create an ever expanding knowledge base that enable users to explore the amazing cultural heritage of the world instantly and effectively.
