The Exhibition of Discovering the Dynamics of Contemporary China’s Urbanism

Curated by Mr. Lin Li of the Chinese Civilisation Centre, and Dr. Charlie Xue, Associate Professor of Division of Building Science and Technology, as outcome of the Interdisciplinary Professional Development Award (IPDA) project “'Reading China Urbanism”, an exhibition "Discovering the Dynamics of Contemporary China's Urbanism" was organized at the Multi-purpose Lobby of the Library from 1 to 31 December 2015. The exhibition showcased various aspects of the project, including: (1) Study in Urban Projects of Contemporary China; (2) Recent Urban Practice; and (3) Student Work-Design Solution for Hong Kong as a City of High-density. An Opening Forum was held on 1 December at the Multi-purpose Lobby. Speakers including architectural professionals and scholars from Hong Kong and the Mainland China were invited.
