關子尹教授,波鴻大學哲學博士(1981),曾任香港中文大學哲學系主任,現為香港中文大學哲學系教授、現象學與當代哲學資料中心主任、人文電算研究中心主任。關教授曾任多間高校的訪問學者,包括波鴻大學、杜鏗大學、瑞士聯邦理工學院、蘇黎世大學、劍橋大學、柏林自由大學等。作為當今華人哲學研究的代表性人物,關教授在海德格爾研究,現象學和德國哲學研究中具有國際聲譽,除多本專著外,發表英文、德文、中文學術論文百餘篇;關教授研究範圍廣泛,除哲學外,他對語文教育、語文政策,乃至認知科學、大腦科學、人文電算等交叉領域均有涉獵。

作為榮獲「2013優秀網站」之一的「粵語審音配詞字庫」開發團隊主持人,關教授將介紹其團隊歷時七載開發的「漢語多功能字庫」。

Prof. Kwan Tze-wan received his Ph.D from Ruhr-Universität Bochum in 1981. He served as the Chairman of the Department of Philosophy of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and he is currently the Professor of the Department of Philosophy and the Founding Director of Archive for Phenomenology & Contemporary Philosophy and Research Centre for Humanities Computing at CUHK. Prof. Kwan served as Visiting Scholar and Visiting Fellows in various prestigious institutes, such as Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Duquesne University and Cambridge University. As a leading Chinese scholar for philosophy studies, Prof. Kwan has won an international reputation in Heidegger research, phenomenology and philosophy of Germany with hundreds of pieces of theses published in English, German and Chinese, in addition to other monographs. Besides his expertise in philosophy studies, Prof. Kwan is also interested in the fields of Linguistics, Language Policy, Cognitive Science, Brain Science, Humanities Computing, and other cross-disciplinary studies.

As founder of the award-winning "Chinese Character Database: With Word-formations, Phonologically Disambiguated According to the Cantonese Dialect", Professor Kwan will introduce the "Multi-Function Chinese Character Database" newly implemented by his team.
